Part 3: Electromagnetic phenomena in SCSC cables carrying dc/ac current under ac magnetic field (Prof. Yusuke Sogabe)

      Yusuke Sogabe
Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Kyoto University
      Speaker Biography:

Dr. Yusuke Sogabe received his Dr. Eng. Degree from Kyoto University in 2019.
The title of his Ph.D. thesis is "Research on ac losses and shielding-current-induced fields aiming to application of HTS magnets to particle accelerators."
In the same year, he joined Kyoto University as an assistant professor in Prof. Amemiya's group.

His research topics are application of high Tc superconductors to magnets,
evaluation of electromagnetic properties of high Tc superconducting coils and cables,
and numerical analyses of high-Tc superconducting coils and cables.

He was a Research Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, DC1, when he was a doctoral student in Kyoto University.
He has received several awards equivalent to best presentation awards at international conferences on applied superconductivity such as International Conference on Magnet Technology.
