Description
What performances and parameters should the conductor have? How can we make magnets using these conductors?
What is the maximum dipole field a REBCO magnet can generate?
What is the magnet performance? How does it quench? How to protect the magnet during a quench? What is the field quality?
How can we characterize the performance for long conductors?

Plan for the Collaboration Meeting20m
Status of the effort
BNL: drawings for the subscale common coil parts are being sent out for fabrication. Expect to receive the parts in one - two months.
FNAL: expect short samples to in the next week or two to continue the bending test on mandrels relevant for COMB development.
LBL: received the mandrel for Layer 1 of the subscale C3. To test wind with dummy wires in the next few days to check: 1) if any further development of winding table is needed and 2) if any change in the mandrel design is needed. Working on the impregnation test of short samples. Expect to have the first impregnation test in early March.
CM agenda
Discuss / review draft slides on 2/18
Quench detection for the subscale common coil in series with the Nb3Sn common coil magnet
Critical to avoid conductor degradation; can benefit the effort at FNAL and LBL
Use the subscale common coil test to validate implementation and gain experience
Anis and BNL team to present a few thoughts/plans at the WGM on 3/11.
