- Subscale common coil: received the modified parts. ACT confirmed that the new parts can work. ACT will test winding. BNL will perform test winding too before winding the actual coils.
- Anis to coordinate instrumentation task and work with the LBL team, Reed and Maxim, to execute the plan. Integrating the instrumentation into the support structure.
- Still plans to run the test by December 2021 but likely after a BOX test with PSI.
- Will test the subscale common coil using a separate power supply.
- COMB: Need to see the results from the lubricant before moving forward. If the lubricant issue is addressed, need to address the delivered CORC wires before winding them into the COMB structure.
- Still plans to make and test the first COMB magnet at 77 K by December 2021.
- C3: sub-scale mandrel fabrication on hold due to limited $. Continue working on the design of the hardware and magnet assembly details. Subscale conductor ran into lubricant issue that ACT is addressing.
- Still plans to make the subscale c3 the rest of the year.
- Plans for the meeting on 8/26
- Invite ACT to update on 1) test winding of the subscale common coil and 2) lubricant
- Discuss the design-study work
