Call for Abstracts

  • Opening day
  • Submission deadline

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the International Workshop on Photoionization and Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IWP&RIXS) 2026, taking place July 19–24, 2026 at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, California.

The workshop will bring together scientists working on the development and application of photoionization spectroscopy and resonant inelastic X-ray scattering techniques, as well as related experimental, theoretical, and instrumentation advances.

We welcome abstract submissions covering topics including, but not limited to:

  • Photoionization spectroscopy and dynamics
  • Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS)
  • Advances in synchrotron and FEL-based spectroscopy
  • Novel instrumentation and experimental techniques
  • Theoretical developments and computational approaches
  • Applications in condensed matter, chemistry, materials science, and atomic/molecular physics

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific organizers and selected for oral or poster presentations.

Authors are encouraged to clearly describe the scientific objectives, methods, and key results of their work. Additional instructions regarding presentation format and scheduling will be provided after the review process.

The call for abstracts is closed.
