- Common coil:
- BNL has all the required parts to wind the MDP version.
- The received practice cable seems too stiff. Discussing with ACT for an alternative before practice winding.
- Will send LBL a magnet plate for Maxim to test the new instrumentation. Maxim and Ramesh will follow up.
- COMB:
- Measured the Ic of the re-lubricated sample, wound on a COMB structure by ACT with three bends. The observed Ic reduction seems inconsistent with an earlier result from ACT on a different C2-style CORC wire after re-lubrication. The earlier result from ACT can be found here. A mystery to be understood before further development.
- CCT:
- Expect the conductor for the subscale version in December.
- C3 order faces some uncertainties. The vendors are addressing the technical issues.
- Impressions from CCA:
- Vendors like SuperOx is significantly expanding the production capacity.
- Bruker is delivering 1.3 GHz NMR system including REBCO insert coils to several customers.
- Next workshop will be hosted by Univ. of Houston in 2023.
