Travel Information

1. GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO BERKELEY: You may take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to Berkeley or an Airport Shuttle. Note, Lyft and UBER are also allowed to make pickups at the airports.

BART - Take BART from the airport to the Downtown Berkeley Station. Please read the instructions posted on the BART website (below) for detailed instructions, train schedule, and transfer point to the Downtown Berkeley Station (sometimes simply called the Berkeley Station). When you arrive at the Downtown Berkeley BART station, walk up the stairs. Depending on the time you arrive, either take the shuttle (see the directions below) or take a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. The taxi stand is outside the BART station.

Airport Shuttle - If you prefer to take a shuttle from the airport, I suggest you use Bay Porter Express. Their toll free number is 1(877) 467-1800. Simply call them when you have picked up your luggage and they will have a shuttle there within 20 minutes. Their website is: http://www.bayporter.com/

Lyft and UBER - Both Lyft and UBER have service to the airports.

2.  GETTING TO LBL FROM DOWNTOWN BERKELEY:
LBNL Shuttle Information:
You will receive an email from Site Access. Please PRINT OUT the email as proof of gate access. Following is the link for the off-site shuttle service route and schedule. It would be best if you caught the BLUE shuttle bus so you won't have to transfer. Please be sure to bring a picture ID. DIRECTIONS FROM THE SHUTTLE TO THE CONFERENCE ROOM:
The meeting will take place in building 54, room 130 (Pers Hall). NOTE: building 54 is also houses the cafeteria.
Once on the blue shuttle bus, ask the driver to let you off at the building 50/70 bus stop. Building 70 is directly behind the bus stop. Take that little path that goes left around the building. You will see a picnic area after you walk up the stairs. Building 54 is across the picnic area.  Enter the building though and pass through the cafeteria and take a left. Room 130 is at the back of the cafeteria. Please note that signs will be posted. The meeting begins at 9am. If you get lost, please feel free to call me in my office at 486-4915.

IMPORTANT: Please note the LBL BLUE shuttle bus stops running at 9:30pm.
