There have been a proliferation of cutting-edge physics experiments and radiation-detection applications that deploy advanced high-purity germanium detectors. Future experiments — some of which are already in the design stage — will push the technological frontier further. As researchers from different fields are formulating their innovative ideas, this is an opportune moment to share their expertise and experience.
