1. General Ethics and Conduct
All Laboratory community members, including visitors, are expected to uphold the University of California Standards of Ethical Conduct. This includes maintaining integrity, accountability, excellence, and respect in all interactions.
2. Facility-Use Standards
The policy regarding the use of Laboratory facilities specifically prohibits certain activities to ensure safety and security:
- Compliance: All visitors must follow Laboratory policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Prohibited Conduct: Blocking entrances or traffic, disorderly or unlawful gatherings, theft or damage to property, and interference with Laboratory officials is strictly prohibited.
- Behavioral Expectations: Harassment, threats, sexual harassment, and any form of discrimination are not tolerated and may result in removal or future access bans.
- Restricted Items: Illegal drugs, alcohol, and weapons are prohibited on Laboratory premises.
3. Site Access and Security Requirements
Visitors attending workshops must also comply with security protocols:
