Lab Access: You will get an email from our site access office no later than January 12. You do not need to print this email. If you can access it from your phone, you can simply show the guard at the gate the email or a screenshot of your email showing that you are approved to be onsite to attend the workshop. Your name will also be on the gate list when you pull up at Blackberry Gate or Strawberry Gate; therefore, even if you can't access your pass from your mobile phone, you can still enter and be onsite. You are required to show a valid government ID with picture when you pull up at the gate.
Building Access: LBNL buildings are mostly all locked. If you find yourself outside building 66 and cannot enter, please call 510-691-4998.
Foreign nationals who are citizens of, or were born in, State Sponsors of Terrorism (SST) should contact Lady Bonifacio ASAP.
LBNL Shuttle: You need to show the shuttle driver your approved site access from your phone or by printing the email. You can find information about the shuttle here: https://commute.lbl.gov/service/shuttle-buses/
Uber/Lyft/Taxi: These mode of transportations are allowed onsite. Ask the security personnel at the gate about directions to either Bldg 2 or Bldg 66.
Parking: If you are driving to the lab, you can park at any space available that is not marked reserved or has an orange circle. We will try to get as many reserved parking for all onsite attendees, and we will inform you if you are approved for a reserved parking when we email your site access pass. The closest parking lot to Building 66 are LOT S, T1, T2, and U5. Parking spaces are limited onsite especially due to many constructions on the hill; therefore, we highly recommend that you carpool or take the Shuttle if you are not granted a reserved parking space.
Transportation: Local Transportation Information can be found here.
