Description

The Joint LARP CM28/HiLumi Meeting will be held Monday, 24 April 2017 through approximately noon Wednesday, 26 April. The site will be the Hilton Embassy Suites Hotel, Napa, California, US. (Click here for map.) The deadline for our special room rate has been extended to midnight Pacific time on 7 April.

There is no registration fee, but we ask that you register through the website so that we can get an accurate headcount for planning purposes. Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meals and incidental expenses.

The meeting will follow the traditional Collaboration Meeting (CM) format. A draft agenda is being developed and may be viewed in its current state under the "Timetable" menu item.

There will be plenary presentations on Monday, 24 April, including talks by finalists for the Toohig Fellowship. Parallel sessions will follow late that afternoon. Parallel sessions on magnets, beam physics, and crab cavities are foreseen for Tuesday, 25 April, and a final plenary session will be held the morning of Wednesday, 26 April. We expect the meeting to conclude around noon Wednesday. Mid-late afternoon (i.e., after enough time to drive safely from Napa to Berkeley) on Wednesday, 26 April, we will give tours of the LBNL magnet facilities for those who are interested.

A no-host dinner, on site, is being organized for Tuesday evening. If you wish to attend this dinner, please sign up when you register for the meeting. Lunches are also no-host. Monday and Wednesday evenings you are free to explore on your own.
